What Is a TAB Business Owner?
We call our franchise owners TAB Business Owners, or TBOs. They are more than “franchisees”—they are talented business owners who share a success mindset, a commitment to excellence, and a desire to make a meaningful difference by helping others.
Unlike owning a typical business-to-business franchise, TBOs are business owners in every sense. They enjoy incredible flexibility and independence, are part of a world-class community of peers, and receive unparalleled training and support. They can also leverage their experience and achievements rather than reinvent themselves and their careers. They can apply their knowledge to help others become more successful.
TAB also provides a subscription model, which gives TBOs more peace of mind about how much money is coming in each month. TAB’s marketing support, contract facilitator model, and protected territories also mean our TBOs can quickly grow their businesses. It also frees up time to earn even more from consulting or to create a more rewarding work-life balance.

Training
Our training program ensures our new TBOs are confident and capable, both in recruiting Members to establish their TAB Boards and in providing the full range of TAB services to retain those Members for the long-term.
During our 8-day initial training course, our home office team will guide you step-by-step through the essential areas of:
- Marketing for new Members
- Interviewing and closing new Members
- Using the full range of TAB tools
- Facilitation techniques
- Running coaching sessions
- Member retention
- Strategies for board composition
The initial training is followed by up to 8 days of in-field support, helping you translate theory into practice and kick-starting the launch of your new TAB Business. TAB is committed to education, and that continues long after you start your franchise. You can repeat our initial training program, at no additional charge, at any time. If you need a refresher in a year or a decade, it’s covered in your one-time training fee.
TBOs can also benefit from all of the amazing content we provide TAB Members, such as webinars and seminars on leadership topics.
Ongoing Support
Our ongoing support is unmatched, and it doesn’t end after your training. It doesn’t end 6 months or 16 months after either. In fact, it just doesn’t end!
- Telephone support daily for the first two weeks following field support training to reinforce the process
- Support for 6 months following field support training to keep you focused on Member recruitment
- Monthly peer Board Meetings with your fellow TBOs to share experience and knowledge
- Weekly Member acquisition and bi-weekly Member retention group coaching calls
- Annual international TAB Franchise Owner conference
In addition, the TAB Home Office handles ALL Member invoicing and debt collection for you, and invests heavily in marketing TAB. This allows you the time and focus to concentrate on driving your business forward and doing the work you love—helping our Members grow.

TERRITORY

A one-size-fits-all approach to anything rarely works, including protected franchise territories.
That’s why we offer three territory sizes to serve all of our TBOs’ needs.
We have an option for those who live in more rural areas, another for people in small and large towns, and a third for anyone in metropolitan or urban areas.
When you join TAB as a TBO, you won’t be forced to accept a single territory option. We make sure you’ll have a territory that will serve you—and your Members—well.

WHAT IS A CONTRACT FACILITATOR?
For more than 30 years, TAB has used a Contract Facilitator model to help accelerate its TBOs growth. It allows owners to increase their income without increasing the number of hours they work.
How it works: Once you max out your desired workload, you can engage a TAB-trained Contract Facilitator to run boards and provide coaching on your behalf within your protected territory.
TAB will help you find these independent contractors, typically semi-retired executives or former business owners. We’ll also train them, so they come to your business fully prepared to get to work. Plus, these 1099 workers are cheaper and require less management and paperwork than an employee.
Our Contract Facilitator model creates a passive revenue stream for you and provides an opportunity for the contractor to augment their income. Win-win.
